Who we are
The Z-List is the trading name of J R Davies, based in the UK. We're responsible for the data described here. Contact: hello@thez-list.com.
If you join the waitlist
We store:
- your email address;
- which TikTok Shop market you sell in (for example the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe);
- the currency you had selected (US dollars, pounds or euros);
- the country your connection came from, as reported by our host, Vercel;
- the page that referred you, if your browser sent one.
We use it to email you once when spots open, in your currency, and to know which TikTok Shop markets people are asking for.
If you become a member
Payment and your Whop account are handled by Whop, under Whop's own privacy policy. Whop tells us your email address and your membership and payment status. We then store:
- your email address, plan and membership status;
- your timezone and the market you track;
- the shops you choose to track, and the reports we make for you;
- whether each report email was delivered and opened;
- a record of account activity, such as login links sent.
We use this to run the service you pay for and to keep it working properly.
Who handles it for us
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. These providers process it for us, and some of them store it outside the UK, including in the US:
- Vercel hosts the site;
- Supabase stores the waitlist, accounts and reports;
- Whop takes payments and manages memberships;
- Resend sends our emails and tells us whether they were delivered and opened;
- Apify collects public data from the shops you track;
- Anthropic writes the Brief from shop figures, not from your personal details.
Cookies and tracking
When you log in, we set one cookie to keep you logged in. It expires about 30 days after you last use the site. Members can't log in without it, and it's the only cookie we set. The rest of the site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Your currency choice and whether you've seen the intro are kept in your own browser's storage and never sent to us.
Our report emails include open tracking, which tells us whether a report was opened.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details: until the waitlist is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete them. Member details and reports: while you're a member, and afterwards until you ask us to delete them.
Deleting your data
Email hello@thez-list.com from the address you signed up with and ask to be removed. We'll delete it and confirm within 30 days. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be corrected. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
